We struggle with the idea that no one in the world ever quite thrives; they either battle the culture or themselves. I for one am beginning to think that if a person escapes the clutches of one, they are bound to fall prey to the other.

I think it may be better to struggle with both. Maybe.

P.S. I gave you maintainer priveleges for The Beacons group.

i think i really meant you battle your "society", not "culture". and if that is indeed what i meant, i would rather battle with society. that just means that youve got yourself all figured out and your only real problem is with bureaucracy and government. if thats my only problem i think im set.

PS:woo!

I've met many folk over here who've done that - battled with whatever society they've come from, given up and come to be a part of this one - they're the expats. That's a tough road to hoe...it's better maybe to battle society while still viewing yourself as a part of it and not something seperate. We can never escape our roots. And oh, thanks for the myspace poke. I never get on there at all, it was really just so that I could look up some bands, who would have figured that you would meet me there?! By the way, how is your family doing? How are you doing? Would you care to get some coffee over your school break when I come back?
Mad.

I definitely agree. Yes. Lets please get together. I am not sure I am prepared to say everything I've been up to lately, here, but I will for sure in person. I want to know how your adventures have been treating you, too. When will you be in town?
