Julian had enjoyed himself at the post-election party, despite his two best friends not winning, yet again. He'd eaten, drank, had enjoyable conversations with people, and all the while kept an eye out for Anthony, but he hadn't seen him. Guy he'd run into, of course. It had been a surprisingly pleasant night, considering the fact that Anthony was supposed to be suffering from a serious political loss - for a given value thereof. But while the larger party had, as usual, lacked anything verging on class or culture, it had been mildly amusing in its own way, and the smaller gathering on the beach had been all the more enjoyable. Anthony turned as he heard his name called, the corner of his mouth curving into a very small smile as he saw Julian coming towards him through the twilight. "Good evening." He turned back ahead, slowing his step to allow the poet to catch up.

Julian slowed again as he pulled abreast of Anthony, glancing at him sideways with a little grin. "Lovely night, isn't it?" he commented, taking a deep breath. It really was, too. Peaceful, warm without being too warm, and with that enjoyable light feeling permeating his body.
