I was never that child. I never understood the fun in torturing the small animals, moths, ants.. I never liked kicking the sandcastles down, I was the one who built them and then cried when they got kicked down. I never really got the cruel jokes, especially the ones about me. i understand the feeling all to well, except the bit about "The Destructors, by Graham Green" because i've never actually read it, but at any rate, yes, humans have an inherently cruel and violent nature (mostly), with an insuficient level of self awareness to understand it (mostly), which makes sense as the more calm and peaceloving early humans probably got clubbed and thus never had any calm and peaceloving children, natural selection favors the greedy unfourtunitly

it's a good story about people with power issues. The power to distroy something is the surest form of ownership. thats the general idea. the story itself is terribly sad. actually, it's the one they discuss in Donnie Darko, in that classroom scene. Heh... dont worry, I'm comma happy too.

That's an incredibly moving and thought-provoking story.
It made me deeply and profoundly sad, to tell the truth.

Whereas the boy's just drew connections between T. and Hitler. Surpring? No.
Granted there are small ties...I'm going to stop there.
