my ideal place, excluding logic and practicality. Large sandy dry cave like those at Gabriola only much bigger. Shelves cut in for books and whatnot. sleeping mat and blankets. curtain or something to keep out the wind. Something upon which to make a fire. A cat. Small garden around back of the cave, for the basic vedgetables plus some bushes

I hope there are still places like that somewhere, even if I dont live in them. It's nice to think that there's still old fashioned hermits living in the woods somewhere.
..cake (and conversation) would be lovely. Dana promised to bring me soup if I was a hermit, so between the two of you I'll never go hungry, at any rate. :P
