LOL - we're all Spurs, and Celtic for our Scots love. :)
Our family used to be East Londoners, fishmongers from East Ham - there's some suggestion we were Hammers fans before the War - but we got Blitzed out, and ended up settling in Islington, before my Dad met my mum, who lived out in Watford. Anyway, I think the family chose Spurs just to be oppositional, given Islington's usual support for the ARSEnal. Me, I've never wavered, though, from the days of my distant youth when my dad would save up to take me to WHL once a year, to now, when I've decided that When I'm A Rich And Famous Author, I want a nice little flat overlooking WHL...:)
I'm just over the moon this morning, what a season it's been, and next year looks even better! COME ON YOU SPURS! :D
All my mum's family are Spurs because, well, we're London Jews from Stepney :) my siblings and I got enticed over to the red side by our now-ex-stepdad, also Jewish but from Hackney. Having grown up mostly in Ilford, most of the people I know are Spurs fans, and I'm non-footbally enough to enjoy their enthusiasm all over my Facebook friendspage just because they're not yelling for the Hammers.
A flat overlooking WHL! I'd be all in favour, mainly for the Greek cake shops nearby :)
My support for Arsenal is pretty faded and I've not been really involved since the late 90s (though my brother wouldn't even date a Spurs supporter and has vowed that he's buying an Arsenal t-shirt for my child if I ever manage to have one) so I'm just really enjoying the enthusiasm you have, and missing London quite a bit.
This is ground control to Major Cait, you've really made the grade And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear Now it's time to leave your flat if you dare...
Congratulations. If I knew what that meant. I'll just assume that it's like the New Orleans Saints winning the NFL Championship-a team nobody ever took seriously finally came right this year and we take it as a victory for the city as well as the team.

Half my family are Spurs supporters and the other half are for Arsenal. It can get close to acrimonious at times :)
