Poetry :: Green Eyes

*because her iPod is dangerously low on battery and therefore she can't remained plugged into music to calm down...*

Irrational the monster lurks,
Shadows prowling behind her own eyes,
The green tendrils of mother nature,
These demons are not even close.

Jealous action crawls along her skin,
Seething, burning, ripping, destroying,
Her heart turns cold, black,
Her soul closing itself off from humanity.

The monster inside her, territorial,
Evil, even, it could be described,
Lurking there just below the surface,
Seeking to eradicate all perceived intruders.

A piece of the Heart remains intact,
Confusion apparent over the monster here,
It knows not how to analyze or process,
What is going on inside the dwelling place.

Green eyes, such an unbeautiful color,
Turning even the most angelic creature,
Something undignified and distastful,
Repugnant to the man whom it involves.

Innocent he is, to the true realm of women,
Not many partners has he experienced,
Thusly in his mind, Women are seen,
As creatures not violent over their territory.

And yet, more often than not,
Beautiful creatures though we are,
Indeed, quite violent creatures,
We can become...

Sadness dwells, that jealousy must come to call,
And eat the soul of such an angel,
Curse her mother's blood, she does not,
Just simply her own soul, damning it away.

Green eyes, such an unbeautiful color,
Turning even the most angelic creature,
Curse her mother's blood, she does not,
Just simply her own soul, damning it away.
