I will be in touch
such common words
you say them often
they should not hurt

I will be in touch
where emotions roam
tis a scalding thing
so much unknown

text is such a poor medium
when used near uncertainty

it rips the heart from me

I believe I am not wrong
my actions are not condemning
but something changed on your end
and now my actions are failing

I was acting as I have before
nothing angered or harmful
but something changed on your end
and now the past is scornful

text is such a poor medium

what was meant to spread cheer
struck down, broken, beaten, fear
happiness dashed away
made the future unclear

when I laugh and smile
you seem so happy to hear
and I wanted to share that
because I hold you so dear

so my apologizes for the trouble
though I know not if caused
my apologizes for being me
for trying to share my thoughts

maybe we can step beyond
and move away from this
and I could share my excitement
my joy, my laughter, my happiness

sometimes this is true
however, text is a wonderful medium
when I can write so beautifully to you
