Poetry :: A Torch for You

Jun 10, 2008 13:42

She bears a torch for you
Pure, deep, unbidden, true
She bears a torch for you
Alone, a Love that grew

A heart with other loves
All facts shown to be true
Yet She bears a torch for you
One great Love beyond all we knew

When you glimspe
Beyond her mask
Are you scared
What do you feel

Her intentions
Were never harm
Never to frighten
But rather charm

A heart that cries
Alone for you
Her voice is sweet
It is true

And yet she hides
Away from you
As if you were
Shy, startled prey

A giant fear
Haunts her days
Will you leave
Will you stay

She hopes
Oh she hopes
Her Love for you
Won't push you away

She bears a torch for you
Pure, deep, unbidden, true
She bears a torch for you
Alone, a Love that grew

A heart with other loves
All facts shown to be true
Yet She bears a torch for you
One great Love beyond all we knew

And she waits
Yearning for comfort
For reassurance
Will it ever come

She fears
Raising your ire
Provoking your anger
Stirring the fire

She walks
As if on egg shells
Gently, softly, slowly
With great caution

And she is alone
She is alone
Alone with her love
Her love for you

She bears a torch for you
Pure, deep, unbidden, true
She bears a torch for you
Alone, a Love that grew

A heart with other loves
All facts shown to be true
Yet She bears a torch for you
One great Love beyond all we knew

She bears a torch for you
One great Love beyond all we knew
