We've been shooting every day for the past week and a half or so! Finally got a day off today. Am playing around, looking at apartments in Austin on Craigslist. We promise to update the blog soon, by the way ( Read more... )

i wonder if there's an austin lj group - or facebook group - that might be helpful in that department... and regardless of yard size, as long as you have some windows, your veggie dream can be at least started =)

1. Stay away from the college due to noise/traffic (so I'm told)
2. Avoid anything east of I-35 unless you want to live in an area similar to Pasadena/South Houston.
3. Places in North Austin can get kind of expensive.

We've lived in the University area (just a little off Guadalupe) and actually really loved it -- I think the key is avoiding the apartments that are exclusively UT students. Those are not only noisy but also sort of...lacking a je ne sais quoi
