So initially I was going to write a little message to follow up my post yesterday that nightmares fade, and the world continues to spin.
But it's February and bad news comes like that cold wind I can't escape.

another night of nightmares. Another night I'm waking up alone and uncertain. Well mostly alone. I'm  in manayunk waiting for a bus home. Can't sit here, wondering. Can't stop myself from thinking. need to move.
Each one of the nightmares ended the same way.
Like every choice I make leads me to the same place.

Also, I've finally been told the deep dark family secret.
Apparently I have a twin that is a monkey.
And the monkey is far more successful then I am.

If you are surprised, you haven't been paying attention.

So I got on the bus, and it was one of those bus drivers that takes all the turns too wide, and brakes way past the point of a normal person, so that the bus lurched at every stop, inches before hitting the car in front. 9 pages, roughly 3,500 words, and 5 days later -- I am done with my tests.
For better or worse, the only thing left is to hand them in and wait for the axe to fall.
Now it is time to eat lasagna, lapse into a carb coma, and sleep the sleep of the dead.

I'm not sure, but I suspect that February has been entirely made up of Mondays. It really seems like they squeezed an extra three Mondays, at the very least, in this very short month ( Read more... )

The internet just ate a fucking article I had just finished the first
draft of. It wasn't a long or particularly inspiring article, just a
bit of PR I'm doing pro bono, but with my memory I can't remember what
I was writing about.

I couldn't sleep again. Thought thoughts dark and unforgiving. Finally drifted into the ether -- and there you were.
