sometimes it sneaks up and gets me from behind

(my writing is so banal)

and then i am embarassed by these words spilling from my fingers

(teenage angst was never vogue)
and it certainly isn't the trend is respectable literature

all my talent adds up to
is a handful of doubt

Screw "respectable" literature!! Write the way you want to write, especially because I find that the "truest" writing we do is when we just stop giving a damn.
