I am one of the 25 million.

Well I got a letter today, telling me I am one of the 25 million who's details are lost on some discs that the powers to be have misplaced.

I am thinking at this point that if I got paid still by a book at the post office this wouldn't be as bad.

Ah well I will just have to keep an eye on the bank account. :(

I am not impressed with the whole

I was wondering if you, zairy or ewtie were affected. 25 million is a heck of a lot of people!!! We've been having things like this happening for the past few years too. When it happens once you can't believe any other company hasn't put in plans to make sure it doesn't happen again. It could be something as small as just someone doing a shit job, but you still have to worry. Hopefully they'll find the disc, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The old way of doing things was more secure.

It is affecting people who claim child benefit. Everyone who has children is entitled to Child benefit rich, middle or poor.

So Ewt and Zairy should be ok.

I sure hope they have a handle on it and security in place because I can't believe the number of people affected.

That is the major problem there doesn't seem to be much security in place.

Oh this bit is classic, the banks are saying it is the governments responsibility if anyone messes with peoples accounts, last I heard the government were saying it is the banks that are responsible.

Of course, no one will take responsibility. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nothing happens with your information!

They should have a better system in place. As per usual they messed it up.
