Sandy

I hope everyone affected by the hurricane is alive and well and managing until things get back to normal. Be wary of flooding near rivers and streams long after the winds abate; that rain has to flow to somewhere!

Thanks Mitch!

Flooding for Sandy was caused by major high tide, some 15+feet over the normal high tide from the ocean.

I live inland, so no damage. Only 3 days power outage. I did drive my family member to work during the height of the storm. She works at the hospital, going to work is mandatory.

All along the shoreline of New Jersey, Long Island, NYC sustained terrible damages. Many still without power today. Rebuilding will be difficult.

Oh my, on your birthday, too. I hope it was a happy one nonetheless.

Thanks ! It was a nice birthday.
Although I was somewhat nervous through the storm, my family was minimally affected. It's OK!
