There's No Escape

I just stumbled upon a very interesting fact. I was sitting at my desk checking and re-checking my top-five websites looking for some sliver of scintillation, and when I tried to quit the inter web would not close. I tried to force quit, didn't work, tried to restart, didn't work and then I looked at the escape button, "ha, yeah right!" eventually

I use the escape key to stop the Avid from importing footage when I have the clip I want. Final cut works the same way.
