Title: the scent of the sea
Characters/Pairing: Nino/Ohno

Summary: Nino is afraid of the sea. Nino is afraid of Ohno.
Notes: it's 5 am you guys holy shit. where did this come from. probably the deep well of nino's odd psyche.

( Nino is afraid of the sea. It crashes in on itself with deep walloping power, it erases itself over and over, it's this deep unmanageable thing of secrets in the darkness. )

It never fails to astound me, how so much can be said in so very few words. Or am I the only one who thinks 1150 isn't a lot of words? :P I loved it - the flow and the pauses and just... everything.

Yeah! Well, I would've passed out if it'd been longer. ;; I summed it up to a friend like this:

me: i have the weirdest ways of writing about falling in love ever.
me: it's not just 'I LOVE YOU'
me: it's all 'you're the sea and the sea makes me sick but i'm attracted to how you bulldoze my bullshit and break apart anything that makes me feel comfortable LET ME FOREHEAD HUG YOU.'

In theory, this could have been shorter. ;D

See, but 'you're the sea and the sea makes me sick but i'm attracted to how you bulldoze my bullshit and break apart anything that makes me feel comfortable LET ME FOREHEAD HUG YOU' is a far better way to say 'I LOVE YOU.' Much more entertaining, anyway. :P

This is wonderful. I love the way that Nino is torn here between being completely comfortable and completely unsettled by Ohno. And the way Ohno has that gap that we all love, except you wrote it as being so -- intense.

Ahaha. But the funny thing is, Ohno isn't doing anything special by his own standards. He's trundling along, being intrigued by Nino in his own way, and isn't really being serious when he brings up the boat thing. And then Nino seizes up on him, and Ohno's like, oh. To Ohno, Nino's the intense one. Isn't that neat? :D
