i, too, find myself in the same situation with my dad. his personality has blanded with age and every time i try to talk about anything i'm going through, he always feels like he needs to give me all this sage advice, instead of just listening and being supportive. blah. good luck though, yo.

its pretty damn annoying, i used to hang out with my mom everywhere and felt completely ok with it. now im like uggghh my mom... great. its not just the annoyed teenager phase anoymore, its just difference of opinion. good luck to you as well.
