Torchwood. Suzie-flavoured recs

Jun 27, 2009 22:45

Am I the only one who's coming to say: have you read my meta?

And yes! We're counting down. And curling up with the new novels, waiting for the radio plays!

Yay, thanks for the link to that-- always lovely to have more meta from you.

And yeah, anything to take the edge off while we wait, right? I've been so tempted to properly give in to spoilers. Even though I'll enjoy it so much more if I don't! Gah.

I'm a total spoilerphobe right now, because practically the entire plot is out there! But it takes a lot of discipline (because, yeah, it'll be so much more fun without knowing!) and still things sneak past and I go, gah! do not wanna know.

Trying to catch the ads on the BBC. I've seen them online already, but I wants to see in real life, too! (I'm crazy. I bounce around like a little ball, going, nearly a week left!)

Oh, man. Torchwood's marketing in the UK has been abysmal. ABYSMAL. If *we* haven't seen the ads on the Beeb yet then they are doing it wrong, because we are their market. Combined with their ridiculousness re: fixing a date, it's really a rather haphazard PR job for a big-budget mini-series move to BBC1. And for a show that they market abroad as a 'smash hit', 'cult classic' and 'runaway success'.

Always great to get more recs from you. I'd read "Paramagnetic" AGES ago and it was good to come back to. (Since I'm about to produce an instantly-jossable fic, I have sympathy for the really really well-done jossers out there...) Loved blue's to bits, but anything with Suzie rocks my world, as you know well.

Hands rubbed RAW, going nuts because we had big plans for a S3 viewing party stateside and now I will have to find some way to download this week because I CANNOT WAIT until July 20. No discipline whatever. Will_ho_4_canon is my new user name.
