Tristan spoke his first words this last Sunday. We were at a BBQ at Ed's sisters house when Tristan started crawling toward Grandpa and saying gapapa. We are thinking he is trying to say Grandpa. Of course Ed is devastated because he did not say dada first but at least he is saying something. Since then he is now saying baba now for his bottle

What medical issues is Ed having?

Ed has not been diagnosed yet but the doctor's think he has an autoimmune disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis or A.S. for short. Basically, his body is attacking the joints in his chest and hip and fusing them together and this will eventually spread to other joints. He is in a lot of pain because of this and is on an antiinflamitory and vicidan. He had another MRI this last Thurs. and is going to a specialist at U of I chicago.

So when is he going to say Mama? Anything close to that? :)

No, nothing close to mama yet but the books say that the m words are the hardest to learn so they come last.
