My newly reformated machine is now infected with an agobot virus. The fucker seems impossible to remove. It fucks with every anti-virus program causing them not to work and even when they do detect it they cant repair, move or delete it. I have found a small little application that gets rid of one file but I understand that it copies itself ( Read more... )

Get yourself an AV program you can boot from a CD.

I'm still not convinced it will remove the worm..like I said when they are able to function the recognise it but cant do zip about it.

I think AVG got rid of it on my work machine.

But if you do reformat make sure you have a copy of anti virus software and Zone Alarm on a CD to install so you NEVER have to connect to the internet unprotected. A new install of any Windows is never up to date with the latest patches and a worm will be in there in a few minutes. I've found this by bad experience :(

Yeah I tried AVG last night..no luck there...and yeah that is the first thing I will do if I do reformat.
