One year later ...

Someone gave me paid LJ time! Thank you, gentle reader! Although since I haven't made an entry since, um, March 2006, I can imagine few people such a gift would be more wasted on.

On the other hand, it did get me to update! I was thinking about it anyway, since I hate that I have had such a whiny post at the top of my LJ for so long. And I have ( Read more... )

Ah, ingenious! Kind Fool clearly has profound insight into the hearts and minds of Englishwomen. Why didn't I think of that? That's right, because I am broke as a joke. But I echo your thanks to Kind Fool. I will pummel her/him with rose petals, music notes, and pistachio nuts that have already been shelled.

In the meantime, what is this... anime, of which you speak? If that's even a real word.

She totally does! I will doubtless be updating constantly so as not to be wracked with guilt at wasting such a kind gesture.

But I am not an Englishwoman! I am, um, a woman with dual citizenship. Which doesn't sound as good, but I'm not quite ready to let go of my Australianness, even if I've only been back once in fifteen years.

ANIME! I am trying to catch up on Prince of Tennis. I am up to 108. After that, um, KKM? And, oh! -- Ouran High School Host Club! Have you seen Ouran? My love for Ouran can not be adequately expressed in words (though some of the later episodes let it down a bit, but anyway), OURAN!!!!! Please say you have seen it. Unless you haven't seen it, or saw it and didn't like it, in which case, um. Bitch.

Also, did you get my email, or has the internets eaten it? If the latter, I forget what was in it, never mind. If the former: Bitch2, for not replying ;P.

Also: I should update my awful layout! What should I do? Should it involve penguins or gay tennis boys? advise me!

I know, I know. You're from Australia* the way I'm from Texas. ;D

I am way behind on anime, unfortunately. I'm even behind on Naruto, and that I love and am devoted to. Soon I will not have too many jobs! Maybe. hopefully. This is also why I have not replied to your e-mail, though I did get it, and I loved your rabbit! and actually I'm sure I started an e-mail back to you, because I remember saying something about your rabbit and your living room. Damn. I don't know. Soon I will not have too many jobs!

As for new layout, how about gay penguins?

* I originally typed "You're my Australia," which I don't know if that would be sweet or depressing. You're far away? And large? You're filled with dangerous snakes and spiders? ...I don't know anything else about Australia.

Hunh.

Someone gave me paid lj time once. I was chuffed. Then, addicted. :)

Um...Anime...I'm stuck on Saikano. Last series I watched (and devoured) was Boys Over Flowers.

I do not know either Saikano or Boys Over Flowers! Should I add them to the Anime to be Watched LIST OF DOOM (currently contains about 300 shows and rising)?

Saikano is sad, maudlin and sweet if one emotionally constipated boy-type with abuse issues and a passive, government issue ultimate-weapon navigating the tricky terrain of first love is your idea of maudlin and sweet.

I love Boys Over Flowers for the class treatment. Obnoxiously rich folk are the same the world over, I think. But the middle-class (and dropping) heroine makes my heart sing with her willingness to stand up for herself and inner decency.
