[Personality]
At a glance, Charles is the mild-mannered, well-meaning professor, sometimes dressing in clothing more appropriately found in people double his age. He easily woos people to his side with his good looks and easy-going charm. He doesn’t anger easily and always seems to have advice to impart on others. He is a man of high society with his impeccable manners and large inheritance. Despite his relative youth he appears to have a maturity beyond his years as shown by the way he comes across as a mentor to the other mutants. However, his privileged and sheltered childhood and his ability to know everything about someone at a glance means that he trusts much too easily, taking people in after their first meeting.
It's all too easy to fear nothing when no one's able to hide anything from you. Added to the fact that he's never known physical hardship, Charles has an idealistic view of life. He honestly believes that his way is the right way and tends to press that on other people, something which tends to cross over to arrogance. As a mutant he believes himself to be better than other normal humans and that it is their responsibility to hold themselves to a higher moral standard because of it. Charles is a pacifist by nature although he can see when force is necessary and even then he tries to use it only sparingly. If Erik represents the path of getting things done with force, then Charles is his opposite, advocating patience and compassion. He believes that mutants should integrate themselves into normal human society and that given enough time, people will no longer see them as freaks or monsters.
Despite all his moral rules, Charles relies quite heavily on his telepathic abilities and uses them often. He uses it freely to try and score dates, move a conversation to a direction that is more favourable for him and to predict what the other person would like to hear from him. His boundaries on what he considers is or isn't an appropriate use of his powers is rather whimsical. Sometimes he'll dive right into their minds and take whatever information he wants and other times he'll be patient and stay out of their minds.
When he no longer has to keep up a serious, older professor image, he's rather playful. Charles' idea of having fun often involves alcohol and flirting with members of the opposite sex. He's not at all about sitting at home on a Friday night reading an obscure book on genetics. Although he has stopped going for a pint at the local pub ever since he was recruited by the CIA, he's in the process of growing out of those habits. Charles knows well the difference between work and play.
For all his pacifist and idealistic views, you’d be a fool to think that he was a pushover. He’ll listen to all the arguments against his position with an understanding expression, but in the end you’ll find he hasn’t budged at all. He does end up leading the X-Men in the future so it is to be expected that he has a strong will. He’s more than capable of standing his ground and his determination is only matched by a select few. But it is true that it would be easy to underestimate him. Very little about Charles on the surface suggests anything more than a rich kid who cruised through his life, nothing to hint that he is more than an academic who spends too much time in books and not enough in the real world.
Charles is a genuinely friendly guy. With the exception of when he’s trying to pick up women, he seems to try and create meaningful relationships with the people he talks to. He reaches out to as many people as he can or at the very least makes an attempt to stay in their good books. Even when all he is looking for is a one night stand, he’s still the perfect gentleman about it, always making an attempt at taking the considerations of the other person into account. His intentions are always good even if it doesn’t quite go the way he’d want it to. He does make mistakes, he’s still new to the whole thing, finishing his thesis on time and making sure Raven didn’t accidentally revert to her true form in public used to be his greatest worries and all of a sudden he’s being drafted by the CIA and is risking his life to help avert another war. It’s a lot to take in and it says a lot about the strength of his character that he’s doing as well as he is.
For all his good intentions, Charles occasionally displays a shocking lack of tact. This is likely due to the way that not everyone can read a person’s mind to see what they are really trying to say. He’s used to being able to understand exactly what someone is trying to tell him regardless of the choice of words, but the reverse isn’t true so he does make mistakes when attempting to convey his meaning in words. Like he subconsciously expects them to understand him the way he understands them. It’s important to note that he is incredibly well meaning. Even when he says something appalling, he honestly believes that what he is saying is the right thing. It’s a clear failing and one that eventually costs him the use of his legs.
[Specialties/Abilities]
Telepath. This means that people's minds are an open book to him. He can read minds, wipe memories, control their body and alter their senses. Quite the dangerous person if he wanted to be.
[Affection]
Hugging and kissing is okay with me. Although I am uncomfortable with going any further than that. Towards females, he's rather flirty especially if he's had a bit to drink. He is however the perfect gentleman and won't do anything without the other person's consent.
[Fighting]
Killing: Talk to me first.
Injuries: Minor injuries are fine, anything serious let's plot.
Him in physical fighting. HAH. He won't start a fight.
[Other Permissions]
You can try to read his mind, but he is a telepath. Fourth wall breakers can fourth wall as much as they want.

DID I MENTION HE IS REALLY PRETTY?
