I had no idea Joss took over it I just picked it up shelving in our comics section, I'll def be more likely to keep reading it now. I should start from the beginning then.
Yes, Brian K Vaughn was writing Runaways up until April with issue #25. What's amusing is that Joss Whedon has written the first 5 issues of Buffy Season 8, and the next story arc (4 issues) will be written by Brian K Vaughn. I'm *still* not sure how I feel about Joss doing Runaways. -sigh- Issue #26 was very sloppy. The most recent one was pretty strong. Many people commented on Joss' taking over Runaways with something along the lines of "Oh, a bunch of teenagers with special powers and witty dialogue, that'll be a stretch for him." I still prefer Vaughn's Runaways but then I came in right after the first trade came out and have been reading it in single issues since then, not waiting for the trades. And Vaughn put his readers through so much . . . Joss still has to prove himself with this one. In any case, I strongly recommend you start from the beginning, as there is LOADS of back story that's complicated and important to understanding things that are going on in the current arc.

YES! Are you reading it now that Joss Whedon took it over or are you only reading it in trade form?
