Oh, me too. Still hoping I can convince him to tell Mam for me, though, when the time comes.

I guess it also helps having a father like mine. He's always been a bit of a loose cannon, so that might help. Not much he can condemn me for without having to condemn himself. Also might help that we so rarely have seen each other . . .

It also helps that he's intelligent enough to see that he can't condemn you without condemning himself. Or, rather, that he's intelligent enough to realize that the sex of the people you love is not, in and of itself, a source of potential condemnation.
