Things definitely are looking up this week. I got a place on the conference, there are lots of useful books that I've discovered for my dissertation at Senate House, and my finances are somewhat healthier. Maybe I'm just a bit more happy and optimistic

Spiderman 3 is truly appalling, is it not? I think the director just didn't know what he was aiming for with that one. Truly Topher Grace was the best thing in it - why did all the beautiful people die? Why?

The dancing at the jazz club was particularly awful.

Thanks, there were quite a few places so it wasn't the greatest of achievements. But I am pleased to be going.
