Took Merri to the vet, her skin condition was playing up again. We got the handsome Aussie vet (score), and Merri was at her cutest. She basically snuggled in to my chest shivering, put her two paws on my collarbone, and hid her face in my neck. I did have to bend down a little to accomodate her. Bless her, the vet was like 'poor little munchkin

And I love the wiki description of them: This series contains more adventure, evilness and romance than the Nancy Drew Mystery Stories. Goodness gracious, more evilness!
They were required reading for me, that and ever so often the 80's update of The Hardy Boys (sometimes they did crossovers!) And they are cheesily fabulous. I wish I'd had it to hand to include actual quotes; next time I will. The cold war twist was actually a completely surprise, and rather disconcerting- in a cheesy yet fabulous way. Try local charity shops, mine was 50p!
