high apple pie in the sky hopes.

It is a truly amazing feeling to wake up on October 1st and know there will still be baseball games to play.

First of all, you all thought I was nutso for my crushiness on Tommy Glavine. But there was a METHOD TO MY MADNESS. Oh Tom, thanks for being such an awesome secondary oldman boyfren. Second-shortest will do. I figured I'd cry when he ( Read more... )

LOL that's kinda really awesome. Even as they swooned, Davey couldn't tear his focus away from manflesh.

LOL @ Jamie: "It's for my wife." XD That killed me.

Those Mets fans that stayed yesterday? They have my respect, completely. Those who left early? Well, they're probably buying their Yankee gear. So whatever.

True 'dat.

Whatever happens this postseason, happens. Sure, I'll be upset if they lose, be it the LDS or further on. I'm not gonna lie

As much as I want us to go far, I have to agree. To go from worst to first like we did is amazing in and of itself, regardless of offseason signings. This season has been so magical, even though a lot of people would look at the record and laugh. In our case, we can finally get over 03. Though I just know come game time, we'll be seeing many goats and Bartmans, because the media sucks like that.

This whole post makes me all happy. Yay team.

at first I was kinda all STFU about the 1908 whining from the fanbase

Dude, that ain't gonna happen till we win it all, sorry. >_>
(To be honest, that talk went up in volume about 10,000,000% after '03, so it wasn't always so loud coming from Cubs fandom.)

Between the Cubs, the Phillies and the Indians being in the postseason this year, I'm surprised there haven't been reports of black holes or something headed towards the planet! The only bad thing about this is that at least two deserving teams who've had a bad time of it for a long time will be facing disappointment yet again, and that pretty much sucks. (I mean as far as World Series wins goes, not being in the postseason, since all three have been in it at least once in the last 15 years.)

I'm really proud of the Phillies & that sounds stupid to say because we all know I am not a Phillies fan, but I am. The way they sacked up & didn't let the (millions of) injuries or the inconsistency of the bullpen stop them... that's really something. Mets collapse or not, the Phillies earned October.

That being said, Mets fans suck. David Wright is a Mets fan (who happens to be employed by them), therefore David Wright sucks. The end.

AW, I'm not going to click the link because my computer will have a seizure but is that the commercial where Jamie gets Chase's autograph for his wife? xD. Best thing evah.

LOL, so you want David to go off the deep end or something and say "we suck and we'll keep sucking until we blow up the team and start over"? Is that what you're hoping will happen? ;-)

Geez. SO MEAN. ;-) (like I should talk with my Morneau-hatred. HOW'S LIFE ON THE GOLF COURSE JUSTIN, you backstabbing bastard?? X-P)

You really think everyone was giving your boys no chance? I honestly saw quite a few analysts say it was the Phillies' year; they didn't trust the Mets to hold together.

NO, I want him to stop being such a fucking lapdog and own up that the Mets LOST. He's so fucking full of shit, like he's afraid to say ANYTHING that might make him fall out of favor with the Mets. Geez louise.

Even if they had them penciled in the beginning of the year, the moment they got off to that 4-11 start, it was OH WELP LOOKS LIKE WE WERE WRONG. SAME OL' PHILLIES. GIVE IT TO THE METS!
And I'll admit I felt that way too! I thought, oh GREAT, here we go, just like last year! They'll get hot at the end of the year and just fall short. But also, just like always, I got suckered in, I fell for them, and they didn't let me down this time.
