And no disrespect meant, but the Dbacks suck. Their fans didn't buy tickets until the last minute, and they only get loud when the scoreboard tells them too. & what are they, 12? I don't mean to sound like a sore loser, because I'll be the first one to tell you the Cubs are sucking, but man. Stupid snakes. I'll forever hate them after this week.
I don't think I'll hate the Rockies. Well, I don't know, I told texasfan08 that I'd cheer for them but now that I think about it, it's probably more that I won't be incensed if the go on and win whatever, the Pennant, the WORLD SERIES :O. They've suffered for a while too. Not as long as us, but still.
I think after a few seasons it might die down, the DBacks hate. I'm just speaking from my experience anyway. I hated the Blue Jays when I was a kid for a few years, but it healed with time. *hugggs*
Sorry about you getting fired! :\ It's okay, at least I can tell myself it wasn't like I screwed up bigtime, it was just them being completely nitpicky, and very unprofessional with the dismissal. I'm still trying, though, and I should have my license soon so I can try elsewhere (if I EVER GET MY CAR BACK >:O)
I don't mind the Rockies, or the Phillies for that matter. Heck, anyone EXCEPT the Snakes. They just won the WS in 2001. It hasn't even been 6 years! The other NL teams haven't been so lucky. So come on.
And I just CANNOT get over how young they are! & how jerky their fans have been.
very unprofessional with the dismissal
Maybe it wasn't worth it to work there, if that's how they treat people.
A lot of people they feel they couldn't root for someone who beat them and I don't know about that. I definitely understand in your case, and I understand the case for the Rockies and Phils too! I guess it turns into the lesser of two evils at some point, and I'd rather see the Rockies beat the Dbacks, if that happens, (def. not the Cubs though).
Phoenix is and always will be a basketball city. Heck, I bet there'll be more people at Suns preseason games than the NLCS or WS, should they get there. It is just so depressing that it seems the NLCS is gonna be between teams with fanbases that are nowhere near as hardcore as the Cubbies and Phils. :'(
I've been so lucky to never get fired from a job; I'm so sorry you had to go through that. And for such a flimsy reason? Meh...but yay for the new opportunity coming up! I think you'd do great at an animal hospital.
There's nothing wrong with loving oatmeal! It's a great thing to love. Keeps you healthy and such.
I'm glad one of us can be optimistic about our teams...I think it'll be a miracle if my boys make it to Sunday. But that's my extreme pessimism speaking, of course. :-X
Yeah, they said they'd call next week, sometime. And that they're hiring two people. I think I'd do great too, I think I'm just a little scared I'll get too emotionally drained.
Haha, it's this Quaker "Nutrition for Women" stuff, I wouldn't even care if it was "Nutrition for Seniors" or "Nutrition for Tots", I'd eat that shit up. IT'S DELICIOUS! I even like regular plain oatmeal (I put strawberry jam in it though), or hot cereal. And I don't like Lucky Charms or Cocoa Puffs. *weirdo*
lol, I'm actually not that optimistic, I just figure that, this year's team has given me plenty to smile about, so I'm not gonna forget that just for one bad series.
I think I'm just a little scared I'll get too emotionally drained.
That's exactly the reason I'd be the worst choice to work in a hospital of any kind. :-/ I've seen enough of hospitals for about 20 years or so anyway. X-P Funeral homes too.
Oatmeal with strawberry jam...hmmm. *ponders* I might have to try that sometime.
As far as my boys go, all I can ask for is that they don't roll over and die tomorrow. At this point I can stand anything but that; make the D-Backs work for it if they're meant to get it, plzkthxnz Cubs.
I think this quote explains it the best : "But as fans understand, there's the easy way, the hard way, and the Philadelphia Phillies way: winning only when winning seems impossible."
This team has done this all season. So I still believe. And if people don't want to(that's not directed towards you), that's fine by me. It's getting a little crowded on the wagon anyway =]
I'm kinda iffy about taking Kendrick out. I think it was the right move, it just didn't work out. If Kendrick gave up a hit, people would be complaining Charlie left him in too long. If Lohse had not thrown that bad pitch and had not given up the slam, people would be praising Charlie. It was just a panic move that didn't work out. That's baseball and I can't really blame Charlie for it.
It's getting a little crowded on the wagon anyway Seriously. That's one of the only reasons I'm glad Philly is such an awful sports town. It weeds out the bandwagoners pretty fast.
I don't think it was the right move...it's just, Charlie's seemed to been protective of KK all year, and I don't like that, especially when KK's proven himself able to get out of jams. Did you see him during the press conference? Poor thing. I know where Charlie was coming from with it, but I still think, as you said, it was a panic move. Again, what's the worst Kendrick could have done? And poor Lohsee now, he doesn't deserve this. He's been a starter most of his career and they're like OH HAY COME INTO A BASES LOADED JAM IN RELIEF! That's not his forte. I think it's funny, there were just a bunch of articles, BRING BACK CHOLLIE! and now everyone (well, not everyone) wants to kill him again. xD

I don't know, I still agree with it just because I would've done the same exact thing. Yeah, Kyle's been able to get out of jams but that could've been the one time he wasn't able to. Charlie didn't feel comfortable with Kendrick in there(he had been leaving his pitches up and he gets hit when he does so), so he went to the best guy in the bullpen. That happened to be Lohse(aside from Romero and Myers). You're right, it's not a starter's job. But who else would you have come in? Alf? Mesa? The guys best for the job(Madson and Geary) are hurt right now.
It was honestly a coin flip. There was no guarantee Kendrick was going to get out of the inning unharmed. Just like there was no way of Charlie knowing Lohse would throw a bad pitch and give up the slam. It's just baseball.
Not too mention, this whole thing would not have been an issue if Nunez was in the game. Seriously, he puts him in for defensive reason and the one time he doesn't, we get screwed.

They should have given you some kind of warning if you were doing something wrong. Yeah, definitely what I think too! They were just like, "oh, we don't have more TIME to see if you can do better" when, really, I think the only thing I needed to do better was not get sidetracked and start one thing before I finished another. Which does not mean I wouldn't have finished that other thing, I just liked to keep on top of what was going on at the moment!
*gasp!* Oatmeal is yummy! *gives you coupons to buy some?*
