Hmmm. Are there any in-game scenes? Perhaps they could overhear the announcement of the batters and/or pitching substitutions over several such, and then the reader would be able to put things together... someone'd have to read it a couple of times, though I don't consider that a trial with your writing. Or have Cox yelling at a couple of the guys and using their real names instead of their nicknames. Sounds like info-dropping you'd have to do piecemeal.

Oh, there's plenty of game scenes; couldn't do a postseason/World Series fic and not have 'em! But that's actually a really good idea that I, for some reason, didn't really think of. Probably so worried about finding voice and characterization and all.

I've been there twice. Once for breakfast with my class then for dinner with my family when we were coming home from Hershey Park. The food's so good!
