Re: the Marlins... I expected them to lose last night. The Nationals had 4 wins coming into the game, 2 of them by Redding. At least they didn't get blown out. Hopefully they'll beat up whoever the fuck is starting tonight and Hopper doesn't suck and the Phillies can actually do something against Maine and the universe will restore to order, with the Marlins in first place. I CAN DREAM.

As for Glav, it sounds like he feels fine but they're being extra cautious about him because he's old and has brittle bones or something, ahah. It doesn't sound like a *huge* deal to me... just like, they want to rest him now so it doesn't get worse? He'll be fine, you know Glavine, he's a stubborn fighter. :oP

I still find it LOL that Maddux got lit up the night Glavine went on the DL. Ahahaha.

No, well, the fact that he's on the DL for something like this (instead of just skipping one start) when he's pitched after being in that taxi accident, pitching with a partially torn rotator cuff, and as mentioned, pitching with a broken rib...see what I mean? I don't know, I think it's more the prospect that if this injury sticks around, he'll just quietly retire, you know? :C

Plus it destroys my theory that the Braves pitching will carry them, but seriously, they're starting to be the Phillies of last year.

Maybe I'll buy JJ and Bar another new friend today. A puppy, perhaps? ;P

I'm not so as upset over the Phils...because I know we've started out much worse the last few seasons. So I'm actually kinda ok right now. Would be better if we could get over .500...now that would be nice :)

Yeah...I have friends going through a lot worse things than their fave baseball teams and players having tough luck, so I feel kind of weird being all WAHHH but, you know how it is. crazypicklearm has a quote in her userinfo about how baseball fans don't have to explain their passion to each other, and how non-fans look at you like you're crazy the more you try to explain.
