I think my AL team is the Texas Rangers. How did that happen? Last year at this time I had a hard time remembering they existed. I mean, I love Josh Hamilton but I'm sure he would annoy me, you know (crazy born-again, and all)? And Kinsler, from the little I know about him, seems to be this likeable version of David Wright. By likeable I mean ( Read more... )

go go power rangers!, roll out the barrel, all aboard the vengabus, people being douches/jeffrey loria, work

The Rangers are total preciousfaces. There was this article about how some of the guys came to hear Hamilton give a talk about the whole drugs/Jesus thing, you know, to be supportive, and then Kinselr was like LET'S GOT HAVE DINNER! and Hamilton is like GUYS NEVER ASKED ME TO HANG OUT WITH THEM OUTSIDE OF THE CLUBHOUSE IN CINCINNATI. I HAVE FRANDS :DDDDDD

It was amaaaazing.

And that jacket could be cute if it was paired with the right outfit. (I don't rly like what they have it paired with in the picture, but I think it might be okay. I'm not hugely into the Touch line, but mostly because it's a little pricey more than anything.)

omgz the new SI? JHam is the coverboy! And I only skimmed the article, since I gave the mag to Pam, but the article is hyar and I should get to actually reading it. But I do remember the part where Kinsler is like "JOSH HAMILTON IS THE BEST BASEBALL PLAYER IN THE WORLD!"
And he didn't have any friends in Cincy? Sad :C No midnight jaunts to Skyline Chili with Dunner?

Minus it being cropped, I love the style of the jacket, the old-skool pitcher's style, ya know what I mean? But yeah, too much $$$ for me. I'll just look and not touch, I s'pose.

Oh man. I need to get my hands on that thing. Also oh man. HELLO THERE IAN KINSLER'S MASSIVE MANCRUSH. Uh... I might need you to tell me things about Kinsler. THE HAMSTER IS RUNNING IN HIS WHEEL IN MY BRANES. :\

And yeah, he apparently had no friends on the team in Cincinnati. Which depresses the shit out of me.

And I think you could totally pull off that jacket, actually, but like, I couldn't. Lol fatty. :( But yeah, the money is an issue.

I don't really have feelings either way on the Alyssa Milano line other than maybe it's a tad pricey for my taste but she does make some cute things. I like that jacket, though I could never pull it off but the color is gorgeous =]

Yeah, it's the price that turns me away, but I don't see why so many people seem to dislike it. Some of the stuff though doesn't have the logo very prominent, so that kind of irks me, but I'm not like RAWR. Hey, at least it's the actual team colors.

I actually really like the Touch line. As a fashion addict AND a huge sports fan I love that there's some more stylish female sportswear besides shapeless mens jerseys and pink women's clothes.
If I wasn't a plus-size girl I'd probably be all over it.

I really like it too and I'm into fashion as well. I know baseball games =/= runway, and I know it makes me sound vain, but I do care about how I look in that large a gathering of people. Not that I'm trying to impress anyone, but I dunno, I don't wanna look like I rolled out of bed and threw on the first team shirt I found, haha.

Kinsler is just ridiculously good. It is perfectly OK to like him, or at the least I have not heard anything about him that would contraindicate that.

Hamilton at least looks like he enjoys the game when he's playing it, which is a change. (Gerald Laird just looks grumpy all the time. I think he's just agitated when people get home plate all dirty, or something. I've seen him clean the plate off when he's batting.)

Braun is also good. It is OK to like him. At least you are not crushing on Craig Counsell. Counsell's performance does not justify that sort of attention that I'm paying to him plz help me make that stop?

Well the love for Kinsler just sort of came about because a) I am a fan of second sackers. And b) because I hate Dustin Pedroia and wanted someone else to vote for for the ASG, and it grew from there from there, from watching the games more. Also, he makes happy piggy faces. ^@^

Hamilton has that bad boy mystique, sort of. Even if he is all "yay Jeebus!" now. I'm INTRIGUED, pretty much. And Gerald Laird has the weirdest shaped head. Ever.

Oh, no, I've always thought of Braun as a good player but I've never been like omggggz RYANNNN *flail* like I am now. I'm not really a chick that digs the long ball, so I'm confused to how he's turning out to be my favorite Brewer, although Corey Hart's a close second. and it's not like my paying attention to JJ Hardy is any better

I like Pedroia's performance, but...yeah, he is kind of annoying. He's like if Nick Punto had any talent whatsoever. (And Kinsler is still better than Pedroia.)

My feelings on Hamilton can be summed up by "Who is this man and why is he so relentlessly cheery? And is that a home run?"

Hahaha. Laird isn't there to look hot, he's there to catch and call games and totally own baserunners who think they can steal off of him. Also, he's not horrible with the bat. (My mother keeps thinking he's one of the Molina brothers, just by appearance. No, Mom, there are not 4 of them.)

He's fielding a lot better? As a Brewers fan, you kind of have to dig the long ball because outside of Counsell and Kendall having the doubles show and Rickie Weeks and his walks, and whatever the heck Corey Hart does, they don't seem to be able to score runs any other way. The new third baseman has actually been nicknamed "3TO" for obvious reasons. ;) The "typical" Crew fangirl is into Hardy and Braun; I like Counsell and McClung. FAIL

Yeah, that's exactly it, I think Pedroia's a good little player but I sort of just want someone very large to step on him and squish that cocky smile off his face.

lol, no I know, it's just an observation. The games I always seem to end up seeing the all/majority of, not just flipping in and out around other games, are Salty games. So mostly I know Gerald Laird as "the catcher that can hit and has the funny-shaped head".

Right, I mean hey, I'm a Phillies fan for gosh sakes, but my fave players on those teams don't tend to be the sluggers. But I think ever since the Brewers locked Braun down, I've gotten more "into" him, maybe because he's been thrust a little more into the spotlight. The only reason I probably like/care about JJ is because of !world, which is how I started following the Brewers in the first place. And well, because I feel bad for him and want to will him to reach his potential. Poor kid supposed to be the next Robin Yount and utterly failing. *has a pity party for JJ*

I like the Rangers well enough. But if I had to pick an AL team, it would probably be Detroit or Baltimore. Or Toronto!

The Braves went 1-5 on their road trip. *sad nao*

NOBODY ASKED YOU!

lolz Smoltz comes back tomorrow. Banished to the bullpen AWAY FROM TOMMY! HOW WILL HE MAKE IT? I'm still crackin' up how it all came about.
Cox: Smoltz'll probably stay in the rotation
Smoltz: I'm gonna come back as closer! :D
Cox: Smoltzie'll come back as the closer.

Don't worry they're playing the Fish now, they'll probably kick ass. x( But then again yous don't have MATT DIAZ, MARLINS KILLAH.

omg our pitchers are so retarded and bad at not-getting-hurt. Two of our pitchers had to come out today for random shit like slipping on the mound.

lol.

AREN'T THE MARLINS AHEAD IN THE EAST???

I miss Matt. :(

what's wrong with huddy? I heard he and the other pitcher left injured and I was kinda just all "lol" because man, the Braves' pitchers' days ARE NUMBERED!

They WERE, now they're a half game back, they've been slumpy as of late. I hope they stick it to the Braves though. Maybe they'll score 7 in 2/3 of an inning off Glavine again. \o/
