Personality: Nepeta is clingy and cuddly. A lot of her personality could be compared to a kitten. She can take care of herself and has been noted as one of the best fighters in the group due to her lifestyle, but by the way she acts, no one would guess she's a born killer.
Nepeta is very much used to killing animals for food. Since she's lived with a giant lion since she hatched, she eats like a lion and prefers her mear raw. Of course, tea with lots of sugar is also a delicacy. Because of her diet and the fact that murdering others is pretty much part of growing up in troll society, she tends to forget that getting blood on her hands is unseemly. She's a good fighter and won't hesitate to use her claws if she's provoked, but what will mainly tick her off is someone wanting a fight. She hates haters and does not want kismesistitude between anyone to ever happen.
Nepeta is used to breaking up fights between her friends. She hates fighting even if she can be provoked into fighting and usually can't notice a fight going on anyway. She's mature, even if she doesn't act that way, and knows how to stop herself from getting angry if she doesn't have any reason to attack. She does not want to auspistise but won't hesitate if it's necessary.
Nepeta loves having friends. Anyone who shows her any type of affection will be showered in her childish, clingy love. And of course all friends are greeted with a back-breaking tackle-slide. She selflessly gives anything she has to whoever needs it, as long as she can snuggle up with them. Giving her tea and/or sugar will make her even more prone to call you a friend.
Nepeta believes strongly in the advice of her friends. Before Equius died, she did nothing major without consulting him and she never does anything that Equius would disapprove of. If Equius or someone equally important to her tells her to do something, she will do so without hesitation.
Nepeta believes strongly in shipping. She paints her friends and possible pairings of everyone she knows. She has her own secret crush on Karkat, and no one is allowed to know. Give her paint, ash, mud, blood, anything, and she'll cover every surface with drawings.
Thanks to Equius's death, there will be some immidiate changes in Nepeta's personality that I forsee. For one thing, she's more easily depressed, especially when the topic of Equius, trolls who died before her canon point, or death in general, comes up. Jokes or insults about death, or empty threats, will probably have a good chance of pissing her off because death is not a joke to her anymore. I'd also think she's much more clingy and protective of her friends, because she doesn't want to lose anyone else.
Mentions of archery, robots and anything suggestive remind her of Equius, and this will make her sad. Mentions of soda, clowns, honks, etc will remind her of Gamzee, who she currently has a childish hatecrush on, and this will make her mad. She will destroy anything Gamzee-ish as soon as she spots it, so please keep your balloons and dolls away from her.
I should probably also add that Nepeta loves kittens and stuffed animals, but has none now that her lion caretaker is dead. Nepeta is also an avid roleplayer and will start roleplaying even if the other character refuses her.
Nepeta's trolltag on the troll chat system, Trollian, is arsenicCatnip, and she speaks in her blood color, forest green. Her text is preceded by ":33 <" and she makes cat puns whenever possible (pawssible), and also replaces "ee" with "33".
Powers/Abilities: Heart powers???
Nepeta is the Rouge of Heart, which should have granted her special abilities if not for the fact that in canon she was killed before she could reach Gods Tier. Instead, the potential is still within her, simply impossible to use since she's nowhere near her Quest Bed.
Nepeta has a sylladex, a sort of inventory accessible through fetch modi. It can be weaponized, and thus the magic of Pareidolia probably stole away the fetch modi, preventing access to the sylladex. If she is granted a fetch modus, she will be able to store up to 33 items in her sylladex, which can be thrown out rather violently if she puts new things in too quickly.
Along with that, Nepeta has the clawkind strife specibus. This basically means that the laws of physics prevent her from using any weapons other than fake claws. Obviously this is only apparent back home as it is part of the game she's stuck in, but she will instinctively not touch other weapons. Of course, her weapon of choise (think Wolverine claws, but blue and spiked at the end), are currently unavailable.
As far as things she CAN ACTUALLY USE, she is very flexible and agile, fast and always lands on her feet. She can see in the dark (and in fact hates sunlight), and can easily kill something with her teeth, which are all sharp and deadly. Under her soft and cuddly nature, she is a bloodthirsty killer who never affords any hesitance when preforming a kill. Beware.
She won't hurt humans, though.... usually.
(Troll instincts dictate that all adolescents will experience murderous rampages as part of puberty. The severity increases with blood color, and Nepeta, being green, is about halfway. Probably only people who hurt her friends will drive her into bloodlust. Anyway, I guess this counts as a power, since her battle skills are heightened considerably when entering Murder Mode.)

Prose sample: Nepeta fell with a yelp, disoriented into hitting her back against the ground. One second, Gamzee had been in front of her. That horrible face, the scratches of purple showing the only remaining trace to hint that it was her old friend. It was his blood color, his make-up, his horns, but not Gamzee. Gamzee wouldn't do such a thing to anyone... let alone Equius! But now, where he'd been, holding her by the paw a second ago, was a large fountain, that she had only managed to avoid falling into by sheer luck. Now the sun was shining, which was a new and strange sight, and everywhere she looked there were strange buildings and... people! Humans, even! The sky was bright blue, and humans were shuffling about the hives like little scuttlegrubs!
Amazed, Nepeta temporarily forgot about what had been about to happen. But it lasted a second. As much as she wanted to approach them, there was purple blood on her paws and her head hurt with the image of Equius's blood rushing to his face as his circulation ceased. She was different from them. Equius would tell her that, but he was gone. And she wouldn't be able to mourn his body, even. The images were setting in place, and she could see clearly in her mind the moment Equius fell back, the crazy eyes behind him looking for another victim. Green tears formed in Nepeta's eyes, her lips trembling as she gave in to the need to scream. Her moirail was gone, and she was whisked away to Skaia knows where before she could even take revenge. So, with humans glancing up out of shock a few times, she cried out to the sun as if he was there, now that she could not do anything for him.
"EQUIUS!!! EQUIUUUUSSSSS!!!!!!"
