Yes.
So, after I found out about all the stupid things with unemployment and griped about it to absolutely everyone, I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning earlier this week and decided I was going to check my account. When I went online to the unemployment website it showed that they had paid me...money. It turns out that they had opened two separate claims for me: one for Sallie Mae/APG and one for StaffMark. So, they've started paying out on the Sallie Mae/APG portion and have denied the accidental claim for StaffMark.
All I'm doing now is waiting for the debit card in the mail so I can actually use it.
Today, in the mail, we received the default judgment from the court stating that Norma does in fact owe us the $500 deposit along with the $76 court fees. Yay!!!!
Also, today we're trying to get together all of our information we need to send in for utilities assistance and food stamps. The only thing that we won't be able to get is a form the school needs to fill out saying I'm in school at least half time and how much financial aid I'll be receiving (obviously the school isn't open due to the break, so I'll probably have to wait another week). So, we'll probably end up waiting for the school to re-open to have that filled out and then fax it in (as of right now I haven't been granted financial aid, which is really starting to worry me).
Oh. Actually just looked and the school themselves has to fax that specific form in, so we should be able to fax in the rest of the info Monday.
So, once we receive my debit card, I'm going to pay Ian's January rent and get Mythos fixed, as well as upping our car insurance to full coverage. Yay!!!!!!!!
And once we receive payment from Norma, we'll be using that to pay Kristin's outstanding medical bill. Looks like things are turning around for us. *crosses fingers*
