1st of all.... a few days a go my brother (19) and I were having a debate over whether girls/guys-only colleges were a good idea or bad. He thought they were bad. yeah I was positively seething at his comment too, I'm too exhausted with idiotic gender-based ideas to even respond to this. I'm so sick of this retarded idea people love to say that presumably girls just have to sit there and guys do all the work. I always had to ask guys out myself, I don't get dates otherwise, and when I do ask them out, I get rejected. And then people say 'how is that possible,' fucking bullshit, that's how it is for everyone just most women are too retarded to realize they can get off their asses and ask guys out, so they don't realize it isn't true that 'girls easily get dates' or that 'girls have to be pretty.'

Sit there and look pretty?! So it's just fuckin' dandy been judged by your outward appearance and nothing else? To have all the worth of your person determined by this? No? Well, that's what you're implying, Ginny's brother. We should all just wait quietly on the balcony for suitors to come by with their guitars and Frank Sinatra songs? Get real.

You better lay off Mills and Boon if you think it still works, or has ever worked, that way.

My boyfriend told me he had no idea I liked him and therefore wouldn't have considered asking me out. Good thing I asked him out, then. Even the heroines of Regency and Victorian novels had to put in effort to get their men in the end.
