according to an epic story depicting the religious and moral beliefs of ancient civilization, the only human to ever gain mortality, did so through fault and happenstance. i see it as that the rain was envious of the sun shining, and decided to destroy that which the sun made. so its torrents fell upon the land fulfilling its own betrayal. the sun decided that to punish its rival indirrectly. during the days of rain that fell upon manking, floods swept the earth and killed most all that stood to face the waters. all save one person, of a land otherwise destroyed, were killed. that one person was warned by the sun that a disaster would become of him if he did not find safety upon the perch of a mountain. upon doing so he was granted the gift of eternal life to mock the rain, that it could not kill him. tragically enough though, he was cursed by the rains torment to rain upon every day of his life until his tragic death at his own hands.
