It's pretty new not even a year.
I paid 300$ for it and the amp.
It's a great guitar to start off with.

what kind of guitar is it like brand wise

Tis a Crestwood.
just some off brand.
Basically just a rip off of a fender stratocaster.
As it looks like one, but does not sound like it.
but hey, 150$ vs. $600
it's a fairly good guitar.
