(no subject)
Nick had just taken me on what was probably the most fun dates I had ever been on. He had dropped me off almost an hour ago, and I had only made it to my couch before I had to sit down and go over what had happened on our date. Nick kissed me; he had actually found a way to do so. I still had butterflies in my stomach just thinking about the kiss. I had never been kissed like that in my entire life. Sure, I had been kissed, but Nick was a year younger than me, but he kissed like someone much older.
My phone buzzed, signaling that I had a new text message. I looked at the screen and saw it was from Nick. I pressed a few buttons and read it:
Hey Ashley,
I had an amazing time tonight!!
I will call you in the morning with
Big news.

I smiled at the fact that he said that he had a good time with me tonight. But then my mind started to race as I thought of what his big news could possibly be. I knew the boys had their first night of the tour tonight and I began to fear that he would call and tell me that whatever we had together had to end. Or maybe he would ask me to go with him and his brothers. I mean, I could always defer my acceptance into school, but did Nick really think we could handle going on tour together? Would I be able to handle all of the screaming girls without becoming jealous? Did I think that Nick and I could last a summer in the close confines of a tour bus?
I changed into my pajamas and kissed my mother goodnight, climbing into bed to let these thoughts mull in my brain.
Nick’s POV
I had just dropped Ashley off at her apartment after our date. I had the most amazing time ever; it really was one of the best dates I had ever been on. And she had kissed me back. I had decided to take that risk, and to my surprise she had kissed me back. The date solidified my feelings for her which made the fact that I knew I had to leave her behind while we went on tour that much harder. Unless... I had a brilliant plan that if my brothers and parents agreed to I wouldn’t have to say goodbye to Ashley. If it happened, it would certainly put a strain on our relationship, but I knew that we could handle it.
The rest of my family was downstairs relaxing in front of the TV for the last time until our tour was over. My mom was sitting on the couch with her head propped on a pillow and her eyes were closed. When she heard me come in, she sat up.
“What’s up Nick? How was your date?”
“My date went really well, that’s actually what I wanted to talk to you about, I had a really nice time with Ashley, and I’m not ready to say goodbye to her yet. So, I was wondering if she could come on tour with us. I’m sure Demi wouldn’t mind a bunkmate.”
My mom looked at me and smiled, “Nick, I am okay with it as long as your father is fine with it.”
I cautiously looked at my father, not knowing how he would react to my question. He must’ve been in a good mood, because he smiled at me and said, “As long as her mom says it’s okay and Demi doesn’t mind having a bunkmate, I have no issues with it Nick.”
I flashed my parents a rare smile and yelled thank you before running back up to my room to text Demi and Ashley.
Demi,
I met this girl.
Parents said I can bring her on tour
If you don’t mind sharing a bus.

It wasn’t long before Demi texted me back.

I don’t mind at all!
Being on tour with 7 guys, I can always use another
Gal! Can’t wait to meet the girl that has Nick Jonas smitten.

I smiled, I couldn’t believe that this was actually going to work out in my favor. I pulled out my phone and texted Ashley.
Hey Ashley,
I had an amazing time tonight!
I’ll call you in the morning with big news!!

I set my phone on my nightstand and lay down on my bed. Just as I was starting to get comfortable, I felt a weight at the end of the bed. I sat up and saw that it was Joe sitting on the end of my bed.
“What’s up Joe?”
“Nothing, I heard what you asked mom and dad.”
“Yeah, I really wanted her to come.”
“So, you must really like this girl. It’s not every day a girl gets Nick Jonas to ask his parents to let him take her on tour with him.”
“Yeah, I think I really do like her Joe. I haven’t felt this way about someone in a long time. I can actually see this working out.”
“Well, I approve, Nick, just be careful. You have the tendency to fall really quickly. Don’t take things too quickly this time, I really think you can make this work out with her.”
“Thanks man, I appreciate it.”
I watched as Joe walked out of my room, and I curled up in bed, and looked forward to my phone call tomorrow, and hopefully Ashley saying that she wanted to come on tour with us.
