Faux Manual = The New Black

Congrats on your car! I recently got a new car myself (different make and model) but it also came with that 'pretend manual' option. Since I've never driven a stick beyond just learning the very basics of how to drive a stick in an emergency, I have no earthly idea how to use it. Do you think you'd get better gas mileage by using it?

No. I'm not a car expert, but I'm pretty sure car experts design automatic transmissions. So I trust that the engineers have designed a system that's more efficient than I'd be. Mostly, I'll use the faux manual when I want to play around and have a little more fun while driving. :)
