I know what you mean....there just isn't as much ice cream around here either. Even in the summer, it's all water ice, there are few ice cream shops. Some places have soft serve, but that's not ice cream. And few people will eat ice cream when it's not warm out.

On the other hand, it would be bad for me to acquire an ice cream machine, because then I'd eat more ice cream!

You should get to Richardson's next time too. Awesome ice cream, you can even see the cows they get the milk from. Plus, some of their seasonal flavors are awesome. Apple Crisp ice cream in the winter was outstanding.
