oh, grannies.
so, i finally 'membered somethin! have some pictures. most of it is liam's stuff, but i threw one in from the baby shower and one i took this morning.
this is my aunt, me, my mom, and my gramma :)
mini-dude's play pen and a couple of blankies on the side...not that you can see them lol. the little net thingy comes off so that it's a containment space when he's awake, but can also be a bassinet :D
the mobile on his play pen. i'm glad the little animals are smiling :D
his stroller :D the infant car seat matches. i can take the thing out and carry him, because the carseat base is detachable. extremely nifty invention, this little travel system.
the BEST present he got, imho. it is a beanie with EARS. it makes me incredibly happy.
this is his first froggy, named "earl". he is 100% organic and eco-friendly. and he's happy about it. see? he's smiling and waving. xD
and me, this morning. at this point, i'm too hot and my feet swell too easily to do anything with my hair. so...sorry i look bummy lol. i'm 36 1/2 weeks pregnant. i'm surprised i even have clothes on at this point. xD
i found out this morning that my mom has to have surgery before liam is born. that's a little over three weeks away. so guess what? she won't be able to help me as much as we thought. don't get me wrong, i want her to be fixed and not in pain and not on 37 pain meds. i'm very very glad she's able to have the surgery. i just know i'm gonna want my mommie and she may not be able to be there as much as i want. my dad's mom wants to come and help for a week or two, and she doesn't get along with my mom, so i guess having grandma here while mom can't be will work out ok. i just...she's not my mom. oh, she'll do everything to help me, including scrubbing the house so that i could eat sushi off the floor and keeping a very close eye on him so i can nap, but...she's not my mom. and my grandma is kind of overbearing in that religious way that is going to drive me to madness. i have yet to tell her that i'm agnostic, much less that my son won't be baptized. i'll be lucky to have a head afterward.
i went to the doc yesterday, and liam and i have gained 4 pounds, which puts my total weight gain so far at 46 lbs. holy crap, it's gonna take me forever to get it all off. *sigh* oh well, it's worth it.
