Ok, I am asking for opinions.

Who do you think is the worlds best poi spinner?
Why, is it their show, skill level, personality? What makes them the best?

Please if you disagree with someone else's opinion show that opinion the respect you would ask us to show yours.

Although I lack a judges eye for technicality, in my opinion the best poi spinners are the ones having fun! I can watch and greatly appreciate someone who pulls off the perfect moves, but what personally draws me in is someone who is smiling, playing, and dancing! Maybe I've just seen too many jaded spinners who look completely bored while performing, lol. Now watching someone who is both passionate and talented... THAT is awesome!

Sorry I don't have any names to give, but seeing a lack of comments prompted me to give my 2-cents.

Alien John hands down, if you haven't seen this man spin your really missing something special, I had the opportunity to take one of his advanced spinning workshops at Sphere Camp Texas and i'm not convinced that the man is a genus. he breaks down advance spinning principles on a mathematical level , yet when he spins he has awesome flow...

Nick Woolsey ... no contest. He's just so incredibly balanced, co-ordinated, meditational, stunning to watch. What I like is that he doesn't go for speed and shock-factor, but true skill and flowingness :)

My personal favorite is Chris "Rovo" Bailey. He has the best combination of technical skill and smooth flow that I've seen.

I also really enjoy "Alien" Jon Everett and Greg Maldonado.

Also Basil Simon is a little more on the technical side of things but very fun to watch.

Of course the other famous poi spinners (Nick Woolsey, Yuta, Bluecat, etc) are all really great too, I'm just not as familiar with their work.
