Is anyone else tired of hearing about Ronald Reagan? He's dead. Okay, now get on with the rest of the world's affairs. Breaking news today on AIM is that the family will hold a private service. Just wanted everyone who didn't know to be aware. Its breaking news after all.

Uh, he was only a national icon of the 20th century, a former U.S. President, and film star, and just all around a great guy. Maybe you are tired of hearing about somebody good being honored, but the rest of America thinks he deserves all we can give him.

Because I didn't know him personally, I simply don't care all that much, and that is my own affair. I find a couple days of media attention enough to honor him for what he did, and anything beyond that is dwelling. There are more important foreign and domestic events to focus on than multiple funeral services for a man whos achievements we have been recognizing since Bush 1 was inaugurated.
Leave the emotional extended mourning to the family and friends.
