A Baby Story

I gotta stop watching these shows - everytime I do they drive me nuts! Nuts! But they are doing a multiples thing it seems...and I have to wonder/ask how come multiples seem to always be delivered by c-section (they never say if its elective)..and today they did one where the woman was having triplets and they did an elective at 34 weeks...why! I always wonder that aswell. I'm sure the doctors must put the fear into multiple mums because it's easier and less risky for the hospital to deliver multiples by c-section.
Look at Theodore Vassilet's wife. She had 69 children in the 1700's, including 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets, and four sets of quadruplets. According to everything I found about her 67 of the children survived infancy and I highly doubt that she had c-sections back then, especially seeing as she was a Russian peasent woman. She must have been like Supermum!

lol..not yet. The ultrasound was too early (I told my mw I was only 5 wks...)...they couldnt see anything really...I have the option to go back in a couple of weeks..but I probably wont until the 18 week one. But I still feel like there is more than 1...

Oooooh it's exciting!
I wouldn't have the patience to wait lol. I had to wait until 14 weeks with Theo and that was bad enough!

honestly - they just keep aggravating me. I want to reach through the screen and strangle some of these moms. If one more mom says she stopped breastfeeding because she doesnt make enough milk..Ill shoot her..I will...

I hate those shows because they keep all the myths and misconceptions going strong.
people watch those stories and see that virtually none of them stick to breastfeeding, that they almost ALL use epidurals and cs.
they never explain that INTERVENTION BREEDS INTERVENTION.

omg, i saw one woman who was induced, laying flat on her back with an epidural and the baby was still up high and not descending putting pressure on the cervix to dialate.

um, I am no scientist but maybe if she could have stood UPRIGHT and walked around the baby would have moved into position naturally fuckers.

omg, i hate that show.

I've often wondered this myself...

The most common reason is one or more baby isn't turned the right way. It is hard to find a doctor willing to deliver a breech baby naturally.
