oh man, vanilla with bits of real beans in it is the BEST. I've only seen it done from Breyer's and it was sooo goood.

I'm pretty sure than you can get vanilla beans at Vincenzo's, a short ride on the 8 away. If they don't have them they can either get them in or tell you where to go.

Buying foodstuffs on eBay is shady at best.

did you buy a mandolin as in the instrument (making it the only non food reference in that post) or is there some food gadget i'm unaware of? do you play the mandolin? =)
