Hey hipcats, it's been ages, but at last I give you another real post. I swear I'll get the hang of the bi-weekly bit again, but only time will tell for sure. I hope the Avatar post convinced some people to at least give the movie a shot ( Read more... )

Heh, thanks Erin.

I've heard the Pochahontas comparison too, and Aliens, Matrix, and The Last Samurai. Fern Gully is just the most ridiculous since people are bringing it up now like it was a good movie.

But yeah, loved Avatar. I'm contemplating ways to see it again. It won't be IMAX, but I'd like to compare anyways.

The mountain, up and down combined, took about two and a half hours. Maybe three. It's called Sanbei.

Cream-O looks like reverse oreos, but they sure don't taste like it. I was sad.

Wow, that's awful about the murder, and subsequent racist media attention.

I see the dish you are pointing that you say looks disgusting is some kind of calimari with, it looks like, peppers and other vegetables?

Though I've seen that meme before, I've not done it. So, I'll steal it. Do dragons really rule Hamada? That would make for awesome pictures.

Yeah, I think it is calamari. It was taken so long ago that I don't remember much about it. If I recall correctly, it didn't taste quite so bad as I made it out to be.

Ha-ha, I've destroyed your feelings of disconnect.

Shimane is in flux right now, between freezing and tolerable. We had thunder and sleet tonight.

I didn't say I wanted to burn to death, I want to die storming burning fields in epic glory.

Well that's just rude.

You should go see Avatar again, cause it's right there in the same city. I would give anything to be in that scenario. As is, the best I can do is a two hour train ride to see it in normal 3D. Which is better than nothing I guess.

Good, good movie though. I rehyped myself up just blogging about it.
