Looking for a new co-mod!
seqc will be busy throughout September-December so I will be in need of a co-mod (or 2 depending on how many applications we get). I will also be busy (especially when mid-terms/finals take over my soul), but will be around to help make sure things go smoothly. I am in charge of Affiliates & Suggestions as well as hosting challenges. seqc is in charge of the Hall of Fame & hosting challenges once she is able to return.
So, that's why a new co-mod will tremendously help. So if you love Pokemon and adore oogling at digital squares, please apply! Applications will be accepted for about a week (or until there are enough applications & we pick a new co-mod). I'll update the status of this post throughout this week. All applications are screened. :)
CO-MOD DUTIES:
Hosting bi-weekly challenges: This is the most important duty that allows you to post challenges (with provided screenshots & resources unless it is a technical challenge), reminders, voting/concrit, tiebreakers, & winners. The new co-mod must be very familiar with Pokemon and HTML (LIMS/Rumble experience is a plus but not required).
Banner-maker Schedule: I need someone who can organize this better (extra points if you're a lover of making banners!). That post will be re-done by the new co-mod with new volunteers and a set schedule to keep track of.
Special Challenges: This is a growing community that is often doing something extra aside from our bi-weekly challenges. Each mod on board takes on a Special Challenge every now & then. We're looking to do something for the holidays coming up so we normally conduct a poll to see what the members are interested in.
Keeping contact with staff: If accepted, you will be required to provide an e-mail (MSN works best, but any e-mail works!) so we can all keep in contact if something comes up i.e. emergencies/unable to host a challenge/etc. Friending on LJ is definitely recommended, but not necessary if you are uncomfortable (messaging on LJ works fine).
Note: A co-mod is allowed to enter a challenge every now & then since we are the only icontest dedicated to Pokemon. Someone please make another icontest! XD Mods are not eligible for Mod's Choice; we did early on in the community but then thought it's best to limit us to placing.
