Hope you're all having a nice weekend...I know I've been rubbish about checking my flist...just so behind...I hope you believe me when I say, if something super important happened, I'd love to know about it, but I know I ignore those requests myself, so how can I not expect you to do the same. I saw X-Men First Class - first class...worst class...( review )

The most interesting thing that has happened in my life recently is I started taking belly dance lessons, which I love. There was a weekend trip at the end of May, and I've had a bad cold the past couple days, though I'm starting to feel a little better.... that's pretty much all that's been outside the norm... besides watching various movies we haven't seen before... Alice In Wonderland, Corpse Bride, Caroline, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader...

X-Men... have never watched any of them... have seen some people who are pretty crazy about this version, but I'm usually not one for these types of films.

is it good exercise? I've always wondered about that...

you're heading to HP next month, right?

it was rather underwhelming...

I think it is - it works just about every muscle group, without putting a lot of stress on your body, the way that a lot other forms of dance or exercise do. It quickly tones your muscles too. Unfortunately, I only have 2 classes left this summer, but I'm planning on following a DVD or two until she offers another class in the fall.

I actually have no idea.. we haven't talked about it. I'm not sure I could stand to see Snape killed in the theater. It took us until about 2 weeks ago to even watch the first part, which we loved.

sounds like you've been running around! just started a new game, controls are kinda wonky, but it's cool - what's your XBOX gamer tag? I'm orangeflyingace :)

wow, really? is it worse that I'm such an X-fan and to be disappointed?

GAH! I envy you for having seen all these movies! I have been wanting to watch them but sadly college owns me at the moment :(
The only movie I will see not matter what is HP 7.2 :P

And yeah, I agree. The X-Men movies have gotten sloppy with the story after the first and o a certain extent the second movie. As for Green Lantern, after being thoroughly disappointed by comic book adaptation movies, I have come to the understanding that when you go for them, just leaving everything you've read behind and be dazzled by the CGI and special effects :P

you can come on over and go with me - I'm sure my friend and I would enjoy the company :) yes, uni does have that effect on most of us ;)

I'm so there for that one too!

oh, I'm glad someone agrees with me! I think you have the right idea, I just can't help myself to having expectations!

Haha! I'll have to catch a plane every weekend then :P

I think it was after watching book adaptation movies with any expectations based on the book after I was disappointed by the huge cuts in HP 4 :/

Yeah I know what you mean about not being to contain the expectation. When you know the story of something pre-hand, you always keep wondering if they've added that part or this part. But I guess they can't please everyone and for the large part they have to make sure that they satisfy not only the fans but newbies as well. I think that's were they decide to move away a bit from the integrity of the book or comic. Unfortunate, but necessary I guess...

its doable :p

Goblet was no good, but PoA and OotP were decent, at least I thought so :)

that is the hard part to swallow - it is like they spit in the face of the long-time fans...it is very disheartening.

that makes me feel better - I mean that you're not here much either...the old gang is really gone, isn't it?

sounds like you're doing a new job though, right? I am too, I'm at about the 6-month point.

LOL were we watching the same channels :p huh...it had its moments, but I just couldn't find something to hold onto. At one point, I actually said to my friend, are they serious, that is so stupid :p

I agree about Hollywood making comics into films, I wish they'd stop being lazy and invest in some new writers with new ideas, instead of pillaging everything else.

too true! I mean, make it into a TV show and you can work with something a lot longer too!
