[In Umbra Cave, or in one of the caves that aren't Umbra Cave but might as well be, there is a woman in a Team Magma uniform lying face-down on the stone floor, half-submerged in a still pool that takes up most of the back of the cave. She is unconscious at first, and wakes slowly. Interestingly, she does not seem perturbed by waking in an unfamiliar place, in a uniform she hasn't worn in months. She's had dreams like this before, where she's back in the caves, in Team Magma, still working to find the path to the Red and Blue Orbs, to awaken Groudon and finally reach the culmination of all that she and the others have worked for.

Quietly, she calls out her Ninetales. The Pokemon immediately begins investigating their surroundings, while Courtney slowly pulls herself out of the pool's shallows and gets to her feet. A thought strikes her, and she pulls a lighter from a pocket of her belt; flicks it on and holds a finger in the flame. She quickly has to pull back, and sticks the burned fingertip in her mouth, wincing.]

...Not a dream, then.
