Belated reflecting on our 2nd anniversary

[Paul's at the beach again, but he isn't training is Pokemon or anything. He's sitting by the shoreline with Torterra chilling with him on the left side and Weavile on the right. Evidently they've been sitting there for several hours, with Paul's cheeks looking pretty red even though he was smart enough to use sunscreen at the beginning of the day

... Oh. You've been here even longer...

... You don't act like someone who's suffered three years of this island's sick humor. How did you end up so mellow?

Well, I think a lot of the stuff the island can do is cool! ...Weird and occasionally annoying on bad days, admittedly, but still kind of cool once you can look back on it and laugh...or cringe, maybe, but my point still stands! Plus, I've made a lot of friends I wouldn't of made if I hadn't come here!

[But then he frowns a bit as he thinks about it.] Of course, I haven't gotten to see my friends from back home very much since then, like my rival Hareta or my ever so lovely friend Mitsumi~, or even my Dad, even if he is really annoying sometimes...hmph. Probably trying to hit on Mitsumi again while I'm not there to defend her from his advances, that jerk... [Sorry he's getting off track a bit... ^^;;]

Hm... you'd probably choose your home over this place, right?

[He actually hesitates for a second or two before he answers.] ...Maybe. I love this place and most everyone here, don't get me wrong, but home's still...well, "home", you know?

... Yeah. I actually had a chance to leave this place and go home a long time ago. What I ended up choosing was... well, you can tell...

...Even if you did go back, I think you might of somehow wound up back here again at some point, since one time I got the help of one of the legends around here to send me back...but it only lasted a few days or so before I was back here again as if I had never left, so... [He gives a shrug.] I guess it just depends on whenever the island decides it truly doesn't want someone to be here anymore or something.

That's... definitely how it works here.

[that's why he decided to give up on ex-boyfriend at last, after all!]

[Shame Jun can't seem to think the same way since he's still been holding out hope for eventually getting together with Mitsumi for the last 3 years. >_>]

There's a lot of people who've returned to their worlds temporarily... it just never happened for me.

[Aww.] ...Maybe you could ask one of the legends around here to see if they could send you back home for a bit like I did?

You just asked? It's that simple?

Err, well, I guess it might depend on which legend you ask since some of them aren't that particularly friendly or something. For me I think it was Arceus that had helped...well, one of them anyway...

... Hm. If I could finish through the Sinnoh League in my world, I wouldn't have anything else tethering me there. Even so, there's risks to consider...

Yeah, probably... [Like it working too well and never coming back or it not working at all or the like. :|a]

[And in Paul's case, he's kinda concerned if he'll get re-diseased if he comes back to his world where there was never a convenient cure and the disease is a major subplot and ohhhh how that would suck...]

I think won't bother tampering with fate like that. If I'm meant to go home at some point, it'll happen when it needs to happen.
