A late present is better than no present. ...Even when said present is slightly silly.

[Three guesses as to who lost their Card Key to the Rocket base.

Nobody wants to be that guy; everybody in Team Rocket knows the one - that one grunt (or admin, assuming Clarissa can't find the damn thing) who drops the key and lets a behatted child stroll straight into HQ. You can be the worst grunt (...or admin) in your squad, but being the one ( Read more... )

[...Wait, who's this chick?

Is she someone he has to answer to, or just another grunt?]

[Why not come and find out, Silver? Clarissa's uniform deviates from that of the grunts' with its lack of the white gloves and boots, and the allowance of a short-sleeved shirt, which might set her out from her subordinates, but it's still not as obvious an indication of rank as the Executive uniforms are. She's fully absorbed in fighting with Magmar, Silver might need to make his presence known if he wants her attention.]

[...But you have no scarf. Everyone worth anything has a really unique outfit or a scarf. Even he and Gold have scarves, and they're just upper grunts. Gosh, gameverse, why don't you have cool red scarves?

Then again, it is different... For now, he'll just watch her. No sense in interrupting her while she's training.]

[Because gameverse doesn't have the dashing sense of style specialverse has. Though if she did have a scarf, Clarissa wouldn't wear it if she could get away with it - knowing her luck it would get snagged on something and it would be an unfortunate grab-target in a fight.

She and Magmar will keep battling for a short while longer, before stopping for a short break. Fighting a human and having to hold back so much is extolling hardly any of Magmar's energy, so he continues practising alone, throwing targetless punches into the air. Clarissa sits down to rest in the grass next to Clefairy, who passes her a bottle of water.]
