[There have been many upon many things running through Elisa's mind lately. Most of those things being weakness; she's been finding out about things left and right and it's really been pushing Elisa to train. And as of late? That's pretty much all she's been doing; training, helping Yellow out when she needs it, training, eatting, a little more

[This beach is apparently one of the few places on this godforsaken rock that doesn't end up completely covered in snow this time of year. If Maxie is going to be anywhere on this island that isn't holed up in one of those caves, he's going to be here.

Of course, he normally wouldn't stay upon noticing there are others present, unless those others were particularly interesting or a select few people he happens to know; however, the sheer amount of fire being flung about is more than enough to keep his attention, and he almost doesn't noticed the trainer herself until well after she's called the attacks off.

He's been keeping an eye on the proceedings from a distance up until that point; he'll approach now, his stance casual, though there's a sense of wariness in his gaze. He hasn't met this one, and can't be sure how well his presence will be taken; with that amount of fire around and the fact that the trainer quite frankly looks like hell, he isn't going to take too many chances right away.]

[Elisa's ears perk up at the sound of the voice; she'd recognize that anywhere! Or so she thinks. When she turns around to see him, she seems a little perplexed. Well, doubles are to be expected. She figures that it probably was a given there would be more than one Maxie on the island.

None the less, she responds rather casually.]

I've been trainin' fire types for as lon' as I've been a trainer. I'm aware of the risk; but ya do have a point.

[She'll take another swig of water, her Pokemon taking a look at you themselves. They're not wary; far from it. Gochimiru is curious, however, and will begin coming forward.]

I'm well aware that I do - after all, I'm in the same situation; fire and ground have long been specialties of mine.

[Though you do appear to have a few unfamiliar things here. Most pinging high on the what-the-hell-is-that spectrum. Interesting.]

And what exactly are you training so diligently for?

Fire and Ground...an interestin' combo. Camerupt bein' the only one who has both if I ain't mistaken. [Yeah, Unovian pokemon are quite foreign aren't they? And this isn't even half of them.

Though; that question will entice a bit of a sigh from Elisa.] I got a couple scores to settled. I can't just be sittin' around anymore while people I know are gettin' hurt; I've got some personal peeves against a few people.

I prefer that species for that very reason. Though the types are definitely interesting enough to raise separately.

[And yeah, they're downright bizarre to him, to be honest; clearly from a different sort of terrain than Maxie is used to, and he's used to quite a bit. Though keeping in mind that Hoenn is very connected with nature while Unova is very urban, and, well...

...although the latter part of that sounds interesting. Something he might be able to use later, should the need arise.]

And what sort of people are these? Organizations, or...?

Can't say anythin' on the Ground types myself, but I will definitely agree with ya on Fire types. [Well, it might not be too different in a sense. Unova is usually pretty warm; much like Hoenn itself. Though the main difference being that there are seasons, and it's hard to really pin point it...]

Mainly? Against Team Rocket, two people in particular. One who's been hurtin' my friends... [She'll grab a rock from the ground, clenching it tightly in her hand.] ...And one who cut me open like a Christmas ham. I wanna get even.

[And ker-chuck! That rock will skid across the wet sand, landing about two feet from the throwing point. Cue another drink of water.]

[Ah, Team Rocket, right. They haven't exactly made themselves very many friends lately, have they...]

Revenge, then. It seems that we understand each other rather well, don't we...with the exception of the fact that you're working yourself into exhaustion. Not much of a point in training your Pokémon and making yourself a target.

It's called wantin' to ensure that we're still stron' enough to take on whatever attacks. Workin' myself over is the least of my worries. [Another glug, before wiping the side of her mouth with her sleeve.]

You're missing the point. Unless you're assuming that "whatever attacks" will wait until you're ready to attack them.

Not everyone attacks your Pokémon first, after all.

Considerin' from what I heard that one of them is dead, it'll be only a matter of time before they come back. And until they do, I wanna be sure I'm ready. [She knows. Boy does she know.]
